Customers Own Material

Fletcher Aluminium is able to anodise material on a toll basis.  This can include such things as fabricated items, sheet and security grill.   Please contact our Customer Service Team for further details.

Please note that for customer’s own material, colour consistency cannot be guaranteed.  The final colour or shade of an item is very much dependant upon the alloy, chemical composition and method of production prior to anodising, something that Fletcher Aluminium has no control over, but can make recommendations on.

Following is a guideline of our procedures for customers delivering their own material to the Fletcher Aluminium site:

Step 1:
Phone Customer Services on +64 9 5741539 and request a COM order acknowledgement number.

Before the metal is delivered to Fletcher Aluminium:

Step 2: Write the COM acknowledgement number clearly on EVERY parcel/skip/case of metal to be delivered to DOOR 5 for anodising.  The parcel should be packed so that the metal will not be damaged in transit, or cause harm cuts or strains) to our staff.

Step 3: Fax your Purchase Order to Customer Services on 0800 388-555 BEFORE the metal is delivered to the site with the following details:

  • Quantity
  • Length
  • Peiphery
  • Description
  • Section Drawing
  • Colour
  • Special Instructions (e.g. jig fastening points)

Step 4: Deliver the metal to Fletcher Aluminium, 30 Bowden Road, Mt Wellington. Between the hours of 7.00AM and 2.45PM.

Step 5: Please report to Millstore Team Leader at Door 5 before unloading goods, where we will sign that we have received a delivery.  We do not wish to cause the driver delays by counting the pieces in the parcel/box while he waits, so small orders only will be counted at this stage.  For most orders, we will notify you prior to anodising the metal should we find piece count discrepancy or a quality problem.  Some large orders will not be able to be counted until the metal is being jigged for anodising.  If a discrepancy is identified at this stage our staff will contact you promptly at that point.

Step 6: You will be phoned to organise collection of your metal once it is completed.

Important Note: Fletcher Aluminium will not take responsibility for metal that arrives on site unlabelled, or that has not been booked in using the system outlined above.  This process is essential to control and care for your metal.
